The TAI Disco
Last night, (Wednesday), the school council held a disco. They had been organising it for a few weeks, and the outcome was great! The theme was “dancing with the stars”, so everybody had to dress up as their favourite star. This part was a little disappointing, because half of the people that attended had gone as themselves! I did as well, so I can’t say much. But, the people that did dress up as stars did a good job of it! There was a James Bond, a Johnny Depp, a Paris Hilton, and a Nicole Richie to name a few. James Bond won a prize for best dressed. The night included dance competitions, food and drinks, and singing competitions. The disco went from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Nobody was allowed to leave the hall until their parents arrived, for safety reasons. Which was fair enough, I suppose.
Although I didn’t win a prize, (my dancing was pretty crazy), I still had a great time!

I’m interested in your comment about it being fair enough, you suppose that nobody could leave the disco until their parents arrived.
I can’t see your parents letting you leave on your own or with your friends!

It sounded like it was alot of fun, I couldn’t go you see because I had one of my last Taekwon-do trainings before my grading, and yeah because the discos are mostly on wednesday I can’t really attend most of them if something happening at TKD is important. Anyway I hope you guys had heaps of fun if I went I probably would have dressed up haha I don’t know who of though!!! Well anyway the only reason I visited your blog is because it always come up in my dashboard that you have put something on and so I thought I might read it! But then the strange thing is it never shows anyone elses…Ah well anyway keep posting posts your doing really well!

Hey Hayley. A dancing with the stars theme would of been great.. I presumed the councillors had to do a bit of ballroom dancing?? Maybe not?.. I think that the easiest way to dress up in that theme was to come in a fancy dress or a tux..

The councillors didn’t actually have to ballroom dance, although that would have been very funny! I am enjoying intermediate a lot, mostly because of all the activities and opportunities you can get involved in. Also, it’s more challenging than primary, and I like that.

Great to hear you had a fabulous time. And you dance crazy? I wish I had seen it!
And yes, you could get lost if you went without your parents coming to collect you. So it IS fair!
